How to look at books from a photographerās perspective
An illustrated lecture for art academies, book fairs and cultural organisations about how to read a book through light, material, rhythm, sequence and detail.
Using examples from The Book Photographer Studio, I share practical ways to recognise what makes a publication distinctive, choose what deserves attention and create images that communicate more than the bookās appearance.
The lecture offers both inspiration and useful guidance for anyone making, commissioning or working with photographs of books.
