A book does not end when it leaves the printer.
It enters bookshops, libraries, institutions, homes and conversations. It is photographed, circulated, collected, discussed and sometimes rediscovered years later.
The projects developed alongside The Book Photographer Studio examine this wider life of books.
Through recorded conversations, curated gatherings and written research, I bring together the people, knowledge and experiences surrounding contemporary publishing.
Each project uses a different format, but they share one purpose: to create more attention for how books are made, encountered and valued.

Book Making as an Art Form
Book Making as an Art Form is a podcast and live conversation series dedicated to the people who shape books.
Through conversations with publishers, designers, printers, artists, booksellers, distributors and cultural institutions, the project examines how publications are conceived, produced, circulated and experienced.
Rather than focusing only on the finished object, each conversation looks at the decisions, relationships and working processes that make a book possible.
Recordings take place in cultural and publishing spaces, allowing each episode to become both a public encounter and a lasting source of knowledge.
Books & Wine: A Taste Salon
Books & Wine: A Taste Salon is an intimate cultural experience built around books, taste and conversation.
Each edition brings together a curated selection of art and photography books, carefully paired wines and small dishes. The publications are introduced not as objects to be reviewed, but as starting points for observation, storytelling and shared reflection.
Guests are invited to slow down, look closely and experience how image, material, memory and taste can influence one another.
The format is created for small public gatherings, private groups, cultural programmes and organisations looking for a more thoughtful way to bring people together.
Each salon is developed around a different theme and is never repeated in exactly the same form.
Journal
The Journal is where I reflect on what has happened through the studio, the podcast and my wider work in publishing and where those experiences might lead next.
I write about projects once there is enough distance to understand them properly: what worked, what surprised me, what challenged my assumptions and what I would do differently. These reflections are personal, but they are also connected to broader questions about photography, publishing, cultural work and building an independent creative practice.
The Journal brings together stories from the studio, lessons from conversations with publishers, designers, printers, artists and booksellers, and observations about how books are made, presented and circulated.
It is not a record of everything that happens. It is a place to pause, understand what the work has taught me and share what may be useful to others.
